Scalp MicroPigmentation San Diego

Scalp Micro Pigmentation Procedure

Scalp MicroPigmentation

Scalp MicroPigmentation (SMP) is a hair loss treatment that replicates natural hair follicles and creates the appearance of more dense hair and hairline. This instant results treatment allows both men and women who are suffering from hair loss a chance to regain their hair confidence. SMP is affordable and semi-permanent as it lasts 3-5 years depending on your skin's retention. Many clients that want a sharp hairline choose to get touch up sessions on an annual basis. This solution has been providing those suffering from alopecia, male pattern baldness, female pattern baldness or other types of scalp hair loss a confidence boost for the last 10 years. While it doesn’t claim to actually regrow any hair, it creates the appearance of hair in a very aesthetically pleasing way.

Hairline Design and Restoration

At Advanced Hair Aesthetics, SMP treatments are carefully planned out to restore your hairline in a way that is most fitting to your lifestyle, genetics, and hair type. There is not a one size fits all solution. It is very important to choose a specialist that understands the artistry of designing a natural-looking hairline. There are some clients that want a crisp and clean, fresh from the barber hairline and some want a natural-looking broken hairline. We even have more mature clients that still want a bit of recession that is age-appropriate. Make sure you communicate with your SMP technician about what you want.

Remember, a good SMP specialist will advise you on what is realistic and what will look best for you. Be wary of anyone overpromising results or giving extremely low quotes. Laser removal is a long painful process to correct the mistakes of inexperienced or poorly trained technicians.

Scalp Micro Pigmentation Scar Camouflage

Scar Camouflage

Scar Camouflage is an advanced SMP technique that helps to camouflage scars from FUE or FUT Hair Transplant Surgery. The texture of your scar will not be changed but the appearance will be hidden under blended micro impressions that help hide the scars. Some scars require additional treatments if it is having trouble holding the pigment. In some cases, your specialist will recommend dry needling the scar if it extremely resistant to pigment.  It is important to use the correct density on your scar and blend it appropriately. Going to dark on a scar will give you the reverse effect and an unpleasant result.

Density Fill

Scalp MicroPigmentation Density fill is a treatment that both men and women use to create the appearance of thicker hair. This is a wonderful treatment for anyone with thinning hair that wants to camouflage the contrast of their scalp and their hair. Women often use this when they have a separate part or thinning at their crown. Men use this option when they still have a hairline but have thinning hair throughout.
